Service Description

Detailed field assessments will allow for the classification of environmental factors around the worksite. The main goal of these surveys will be to classify Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping, Critical Habitat, wildlife corridors, determine the presence of Species at Risk, and migratory bird nests as laid out in the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, Wildlife Act, Migratory Birds Convention Act, and the Species at Risk Act. Desktop assessment will occur using the BC Conservation Data Center, provincial recovery strategies, known Wildlife Species Inventory occurrences, Critical Habitat polygons, and Ecological Reports Catalogue. Please note that some surveys can only be completed in certain work windows. If required book "Additional RPBio Field Time" to add survey time without affecting the reporting time. Trips more than 50 km from Penticton may be subject to additional mileage fees at standard rates. Please direct questions to the "Add Your Message" or "Contact Me" for more information. Prices include 5% GST (GST # 743529877RT001). All projects are estimated based on an average project estimation. In rare cases the scale of the project may exceed the number of hours in the estimate. In such cases, the extra hours will be billed at the standard hourly rate outlined in the 1 hr of unspecified field work listed above.
